The Willy G pro ski was a project I did with Will Griffith and Surface Skis. It was Wills first ski as a professional rider for the company. The artwork on the ski features sketches and paintings from Rory Swimm, a close friend of mine and Will’s who was tragically shot and killed in Salt Lake City. Will sent me Rory’s artwork with the hope of creating a ski that is a portrait of Rory. I rearranged pieces and filled in the gaps where I saw fit to create something that honors Rory. This ski is Rory. His spirit, attitude, and kind-heartedness shine through his illustrations and will carry his legacy on snow for years to come.
